Overview

The Position

We are seeking a Vice President in our Consumer Brands Practice. In this role, the Vice President serves as the senior counsel for a variety of clients helping to drive the day-to-day strategy and leading internal account teams.

You will be driving integrated marketing and / or communications strategies that tap into the agency's offerings. There is a key operational aspect to this role where the person is responsible for overseeing budgets and scopes of work, negotiating contracts and understanding / identifying the right staffing needs for each account.

We expect Vice Presidents to act as a leader within their department and office, supporting overall growth through new business and upsells, alongside guiding and training junior employees.

This position will be focused on accounts in the Consumer and Consumer Health categories.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Serve as strategic lead and senior day-to-day client contact for large-scale account teams, as a true thought partner. Provide counsel on integrated strategies, messaging, planning and execution, creative elements, and measurement.
  • Provide ongoing, proactive support for earned-led strategies and execution, maintaining relationships with top-tier media contacts and guiding junior team on best practices.
  • Ability to anticipate client needs, challenges and issues and develop strategic plans to address and support their continued success.
  • Responsible for financial and budget oversight on accounts including utilization, and staffing requirements. May participate in contract negotiations.
  • Evaluate client needs regularly and identify opportunities to grow the business, selling in agency's broader offerings.
  • Outline roles and responsibilities for the account teams and re-evaluate on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for ongoing training and development of junior staff and supervision of mid-level employees.
  • Lead new business initiatives.
  • Active participation in practice, office or department operations and growth.
  • Promote and uphold Allison's core values; participate in agency-wide training and professional development programs.

Qualifications

What You'll Need

  • Requires prior experience as a senior director in public relations, marketing or a related field. Vice-Presidents at Allison typically have a minimum of 9+ years of experience.
  • Expertise in consumer or consumer tech brands required; consumer health expertise a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape with an ability to advise account teams on best practices in storytelling.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation skills put to use in a range of scenarios including but not limited to : prepping C-level executives for media opportunities;

hosting large meetings, brainstorms and calls with senior client contacts; working with celebrity talent

  • Ability to manage expectations appropriately and effectively.
  • Proven track-record in developing integrated programs for accounts / clients.
  • Direct management experience preferred.
  • Experience in budget tracking and resource allocation, preferably for large-scale budgets and teams.

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $113k-$150k.

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
