Job Description : Special Education Teacher
Location : Goodyear, Arizona
Job Summary : We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Goodyear, Arizona.
This role involves working with students who have diverse learning needs and disabilities, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Adapt instructional materials and teaching strategies to support the academic and social growth of students with diverse learning challenges.
- Provide direct instruction and support in inclusive classrooms, small group settings, and one-on-one sessions as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure coordinated support for students with disabilities.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies to meet evolving needs and goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and attendance.
- Implement positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Arizona teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement (cross-categorical or specific disability area).
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices, including experience with IEP development and implementation.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.

Preferred Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience working with students who have specific disabilities such as autism spectrum disorders, emotional disabilities, or intellectual disabilities.
- Familiarity with assistive technology and its application in educational settings.
