Clinical Research Coordinator I - IGM Requisition ID 2024-52274 Category Research Overview We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I to join our team.

The Steve and Cindy Rasmussen Institute of Genomic Medicine (IGM) at Nationwide Children's Hospital is growing rapidly in order to support translational research protocols that help diagnosis and treat our patients through the power of genomic medicine.

The IGM Clinical Research coordinator's primary responsibility is managing key elements of clinical research studies to meet protocol obligations.

These elements include, but are not limited to, study start up activities, study launch preparation, day to day management of study recruitment and data management and study closure responsibilities.

Nationwide Children's Hospital. A Place to Be Proud. Responsibilities Conducts clinical research studies as outlined in the study protocol;

discerns critical elements of the protocol to ensure subject safety throughout study; adheres to good clinical practices.

Follows existing workflows as designated for specimen handling, tracking and sample processing while following CAP / CLIA laboratory guidelines.

Performs systematic data collection and entry into data management systems (e.g. REDCap, Microsoft programs, JIRA, Confluence, LabVantage).

Identifies study implementation and / or study management issues and works with the study team to develop and implement solutions to ensure study progress and success.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills including the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. NCH Anatomic Pathology, physicians, researchers, clinical laboratory).

Educates other study personnel with regards to study responsibilities and keeps written documentation of this training (e.

g. training competencies and SOPs). Assists the Principal Investigator and Clinical Genomics Research team in the data preparation for scientific publications, presentations, and grant proposals as needed.

Performs other duties and maintains flexible schedule as required by a protocol or unit needs. Excellent writing skills and ability to produce clear and succinct reports based on study progress.

Troubleshoot study related issues to reach resolution during the course of a project. Assist in creating new project workflows, timelines, shipment schedules to or from NCH, which includes but is not limited to creating extraction worksheets and or shipping manifests. Qualifications
