POSITION OVERVIEW
The CNC Maintenance Technician role encompasses a dynamic array of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the seamless operation of production and facility equipment.
From installation to troubleshooting and repair, the technician plays a pivotal role in maintaining safety, productivity, and efficiency standards within the organization's operations.
Collaboration with various levels of employees across departments is essential for success in this full-time position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary duties of the CNC Maintenance Technician include but are not limited to :
- Conducting installation and upkeep of production machinery and plant facilities
- Addressing emergency and scheduled repairs of production equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Executing basic machinist tasks and responsibilities
- Applying mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic expertise to troubleshoot and repair production machinery
- Utilizing equipment manuals and work orders to perform necessary maintenance and service tasks
- Diagnosing issues, replacing or repairing parts, and conducting testing and adjustments as needed
- Implementing regular preventive maintenance procedures on machinery, equipment, and facilities
- Demonstrating proficiency in hydraulic systems, motors, pumps, and major machine component repair
- Undertaking building maintenance tasks and other associated responsibilities as required
- Identifying operational faults, defective materials, and unusual situations, promptly reporting them to relevant management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The CNC Maintenance Technician must be capable of meeting the following physical demands :
- Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing, and visual tasks
- Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Various physical movements including reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, fingering, grasping, feeling, twisting, and bending
- Occasional sitting, writing, and typing activities
- Visual acuity to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of work
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and moderate to heavy noise
- Compliance with personal protective equipment guidelines, including earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education :
High School diploma or equivalent experience
Experience :
Minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical repairs within a relevant field or equivalent
