A well-known and reputable company is seeking a qualified individual to join their team as a Waste Management Supervisor .
This position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana and offers the opportunity to support our nationwide customer base. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing waste management operations at our plant.
This role primarily operates during regular business hours, but flexibility in supporting off hours and weekend work is required.
As the Waste Management Supervisor, your responsibilities will include managing sanitation and pest control operations, implementing cleaning processes and chemical usage protocols, and ensuring compliance with plant regulations.
Additionally, you will be expected to set standards for equipment maintenance, initiate sanitation assurance projects, and coordinate pest control and plant regulatory compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive waste management strategy at the plant level, aligning with long-term goals and utilizing available resources.
- Coordinate and manage all waste management operations within the plant, ensuring adherence to sanitation control measures.
- Encourage team members to continuously improve processes while prioritizing safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), and plant policies.
- Track and manage department budget, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and cost-effectiveness of sanitation processes.
- Deliver training to the sanitation department as well as other relevant departments, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards across the organization.
- Manage third-party contracts for sanitation chemicals, pest control, and uniforms.
- Coordinate monthly internal audits and lead corrective action efforts, ensuring prompt resolution of identified issues.
- Provide guidance and support to direct reports, empowering them to tackle new challenges and expand their skill sets.
- Maintain detailed records of department training, operational inspections, and sanitation schedules to ensure compliance and documentation accuracy.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED, though a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience leading high-performance teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- At least 3 years of experience in sanitation management, including knowledge of CIP systems and wet cleaning.
- Proven ability to perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Working knowledge of the Six Step Cleaning Process.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and off-shifts.
