Position Details
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, and / or Social Work
- Family Service Worker Credential or willing to complete requirements
- Experience working in an Early Childhood environment
- Experience as a Preschool Coordinator or Family Liaison, preferred
- Familiarity and comfortability with technology and the utilization of a variety of software applications
- Reliable and Dependable
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Enjoys Working with Families
Responsibilities
- Promote and support family wellness and engagement programs
- Recruit and meet with eligible families
- Develop working relationships with families for health development and nutrition
- Plan and conduct monthly parent / child activities
- Provide needs assessment and goal setting with families
- Complete and monitor enrollment requirements
- Enter data for required systems, such as EMPOWER, MIECC, Skyward systems
- Maintain and update student records
- Ensure all students complete required health screenings
- Manage and support summer programming with Early Childhood Principal
- Participate and support new staff orientation
- Coordinate and monitor Miregistry for employee professional development
- Collaborate with Early Childhood staff
- Support Early Childhood staff with daily routines
- Perform responsibilities with the understanding of High Scope and Early Childhood development
- Communicate with parents / guardians regarding children in program
- Participate in professional learning opportunities and trainings
- Other duties as assigned
This position reports to the Principal of Early Childhood
