Position : Special Education Teacher
Location : Franklin, Illinois
Duration : Full Time; 2024-2025 School Year starting immediately
Caseload : There are currently 3 open positions each with their own case loads :
- 2nd Grade Self-Contained
- 1st Grade Co-Teaching
- 5th Grade Co-Teaching

School prefers a PEL with LBS1 License, but is willing to accept an endorsement / approvals in special education K-8 or short term emergency approval in area of special education

- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and specialists to support student development.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians about their child's progress and goals.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus.
- Valid Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification.
- Experience with students who have a range of learning needs and disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with assistive technology and adaptive tools.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
