About the position :
E Ink invites an experienced Senior Electrical / Optical Engineer to join our team and lead the development of state-of-the-art optical benches for measuring electrophoretic reflective displays.
This role is central to the mission of advancing electrophoretic display technologies by enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of our display measurements.
As part of E Ink's engineering team, you will be responsible for both the software and hardware aspects of our optical measurement systems, driving the evolution of our benches from their current capabilities to improved performance, reliability and capability.
This position offers a significant leadership opportunity, potentially overseeing a dedicated team tasked with the global deployment and continual improvement of these critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of optical bench hardware and software, ensuring our electrophoretic displays are measured robustly and precisely
- Lead the project to develop the next version of our optical bench, focusing on increased compactness, speed, and accuracy
- Manage the build out of the next generation electro-optical bench by working with vendors and developing a BOM that manages cost
- Manage a team of skilled technicians and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
- Collaborate across departments to integrate advancements in machine vision, software development, and hardware control into our measurement systems
Qualifications :
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with a specialization in electro-optics
- 3-5 years of experience in an industrial role with a proven track record of high performance and ability to exceed expectations on deliverables
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of innovative solutions in hardware and software development
- Experience with machine vision cameras, optical metrology and hardware control (temperature control, illumination, etc.)
- Proven leadership abilities desired, ideally with experience managing projects and teams in a technical environment
Preferences :
Expertise in Python, MATLAB, or C++
