Job Description :
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. This position involves working with students who have a wide range of learning, emotional, and physical disabilities, ensuring each student receives the support and educational opportunities they need to succeed.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students based on assessment data and collaboration with parents, therapists, and other educators.
- Adapt and modify general education curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student, providing differentiated instruction and accommodations as necessary.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies and goals as needed to facilitate academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Collaborate with school staff, including general education teachers, therapists, and support personnel, to support the inclusion and integration of students with disabilities in the general education environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, goals, and strategies for support both in person and through written reports and meetings.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid state teaching license / certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with disabilities, including knowledge of best practices in special education and familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community stakeholders.
