About Rocky Mountain Prep Rocky Mountain Prep is a growing network of innovative public charter schools serving students and families in the Greater Denver Area.
Rocky Mountain Prep (RMP) opened its first school in 2012 with 130 students and has grown to twelve schools, working with over 5,000 scholars in PreK through 12th grade across two districts.

25 years in ELA and Math 40% of 3rd through 5th-grade students meet their Millionaire Goal (one million words read) 40% of 6th through 8th grade students meet their millionaire goal (two million words read) High school : 100% College Acceptance Each member of the organization plays a part in achieving these goals.
School-based staff members will work towards 2 or 3 metrics aligned to their individual roles AND the Big 5. These metrics vary by position and are subject to change for the 2022-2023 school year.
As a Director of College Access, you will be held accountable for some of these goals. Roles and Responsibilities : Student Counseling and Advising : Provide one-on-one counseling to students regarding college choices, application processes, and career pathways.
Assist students in identifying colleges that match their interests, abilities, and financial situations. College Application Support : Guide students through the college application process, including filling out applications, writing essays, and meeting deadlines.
Help students prepare for college entrance exams (SAT, ACT) and advise on test preparation resources. Financial Aid and Scholarship Assistance : Inform students and parents about financial aid options, including grants, loans, and scholarships.
Assist with the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and other financial aid forms. College Readiness Programs : Develop and implement programs to prepare students for college life, including workshops on study skills, time management, and campus life.
Organize college visits and fairs to expose students to various higher education institutions. Collaboration with School Staff : Work closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify and support students in need of college access services.
Provide training and resources to school staff to help them support students in the college application process. Building Partnerships : Establish and maintain relationships with colleges and universities to facilitate student admissions and support.
Collaborate with community organizations, businesses, and nonprofits to provide additional resources and opportunities for students.
Data Management and Reporting : Track and report on student progress and outcomes related to college applications, acceptances, and enrollments.
Use data to evaluate and improve college access programs and initiatives. Family Engagement : Engage with families to educate them about the college admissions process and the importance of higher education.
Conduct workshops and informational sessions for families to support their involvement in their child’s college journey.
Program Development and Management : Design and oversee college access programs and initiatives tailored to the needs of the student population.
Secure funding through grants and other sources to sustain and expand college access programs. PEAK+ Pathway Management : Oversee the PEAK+ Pathway program, ensuring students enrolled at the Community College of Aurora attend classes regularly and achieve passing grades.
Monitor student performance, provide academic support, and coordinate with college staff to address any issues or challenges faced by students.
School Leadership Team Participation : Serve as a member of the School Leadership Team, contributing to the development and implementation of school-wide policies and initiatives.
Collaborate with other leadership team members to promote a cohesive and supportive educational environment. Salary This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $85,00- $120,000.
