About The Position

Weekly Pay Range - $2126 To $2362 Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Telemetry / Stepdown Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Telemetry / Intermediate Care preferred License : Current RN license Certifications : - Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association- EKG Certification (preferred) Must-Have : - Compliance with a drug-free workplace policy- Willingness to engage in professional growth activities- Ability to work with diverse age groups ranging from newborns to geriatrics Job Description : Perform and document the admission and ongoing assessment of all assigned patients.

• Formulate and review admission nursing diagnoses based on assessment data.- Initiate, document, and maintain a care plan that aligns with the medical plan of care.
• Communicate patient care plans accurately to all health care and support team members.- Evaluate educational needs and implement a teaching plan for patients and families.
• Advocate for patients in all areas of care.- Lead and direct other nursing staff; facilitate integrated patient care and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Attend and complete both hospital general and unit-specific orientation programs.- Practice within legal and ethical guidelines for nursing practice.
• Demonstrate competence in using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.- Administer blood and blood products correctly.
• Engage in unit efforts to enhance nursing practice through in-services and contribution to policy formulation.- Provide written and verbal education on disease processes and medications.
• Exhibit proficiency in starting IVs and familiarity with various IV access types.- Serve as patient advocate and assume ultimate responsibility for patient care, including delegation and co-signing as necessary.
• Complete annual competencies and engage in leadership and organizational opportunities.
