Accounting Manager

Position Overview :

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with previous experience managing a team.

The Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting department's day-to-day operations and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of all financial processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Monitor and analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, and present findings to senior management.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Manage the preparation and review of annual budgets and forecasts
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions, including payments, invoices, and payroll
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting processes and increase efficiency
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations and standards

Sought out Qualifications :

• At least 7+ years of accounting experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• ASC 842 experience is highly sought by not required
• At least 3 +plus years of audit experience working hands-on with outside firms.
• 3+ years of building and managing teams in a rapidly evolving environment.
• Direct experience performing detailed and data-intensive reconciliations.
• Strong technical accounting skills with a keen understanding of GAAP regulations and compliance.
• Organized, detailed, proactive, self-motivated, collaborative, multi-tasker, and creative.
• Ability to communicate effectively and lead a team to success.
• Ability to prioritize workloads and ensure tasks are completed timely.
• High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
