Salary Information

Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.

A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and MCCP Board Rules & Regulations

Nature of Work

Thefundamental reason that this classification exists is to develop the overalllibrary system through fundraising, grant writing and marketing.

The major work responsibilities for the LibraryDevelopment Coordinator include : locating, researching and maintaining currentinformation on grant sources to develop grants;

developing / designing, proofreading and soliciting marketing materials; disseminating information forspecial events, programs, news services, etc.

  • developing and coordinating theplanning and execution of fundraising programs and events; managing thelibrary's financial development;
  • coordinating fundraising / marketing projectswith vendors; developing and coordinating special events and programs for thelibrary system;

networking with groups and individuals on a federal, state andlocal level; and performing administrative duties. The employee must exertinitiative and independent judgment in carrying out the goals and objectives ofthe library.

The Library Development Coordinator reports to the LibraryDirector.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor'sdegree in marketing, public relations, or related field and three (3) years ofexperience in fundraising, marketing or public relations.

NOTE : Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisiteknowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered

Kind of Examination

The current vacancyis with theMontgomery City County Library Department.Applicants will be screened and qualified based upon education and experience as shown on the application and supplemental questionnaire.

Tied scores will not be broken. If there are five or less qualified applicants, they will be considered equally qualified and placed on the register in alphabetical order.
