Software-Reverse Engineer, Mid

The Opportunity :

As an embedded software engineer, you know how to create and maintain crucial pieces of software. You use your knowledge to write and optimize code that creates a bridge between pieces of software, allowing them to communicate.

We’re looking for an embedded software engineer like you to develop technology for our clients’ most important mission-forward challenges.

As an embedded software engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll support the development of systems, sites, and tools for our clients.

Using the latest tools and technology, you’ll write, test, and edit code in support of the team’s overall results. You’ll strengthen your skills as you develop and reverse engineer software that supports hardware functionality on a wide range of devices, as well as configure solutions based on the platform being used.

You’ll partner with team leadership to troubleshoot and correct operational issues, as well as with cybersecurity specialists to ensure that the software you’re creating is secure.

You Have :

  • 4+ years of experience with sof tware and firmware code assembly, disa ssembly, reverse engineering, sof tware de-buggers, and diagnostic tools, including IDA Pro, Ghidra, OllyDbg, or Metasploit
  • 1+ years of experience with the assembly language for architectures, including x86, x64, or RISC, ARM, and microcontrollers
  • Experience with Python, C++, or object-oriented programming languages
  • Experience in the utilization of emulators ( QEMU ) for system or firmware emulation
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have :

  • Experience with distributed systems architecture and computer networking
  • Experience in programming asso cia ted with Field Programmable Gate Arrays ( FPGAs )
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing ( DSP ) design or modeling and analysis of Sof tware Defined Radios ( SDRs )
  • Knowledge of military systems and computer network te chn ologies, designs, and programs
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • TS / SCI clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
