Essential Functions : The Manager of Public Safety manages the daily security operations of the assigned facility's security program. Manages, plans, organizes, and coordinates the 24 / 7 security staff and operations. Ensures protection and safeguarding of hospital property, personnel, patients, and visitors. Exercises direct supervision over contracted security services ensuring compliance with service agreement. Maintains records on and ensures all departmental training occurs and that refresher training is handled on an annualized or as needed basis.

Job Qualifications :
Education- High School Diploma, required; Preferred : Associates or Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice or Health Care Administration
Experience- 3 to 5 years' experience in the law enforcement and / or security management or equivalent combination of educational and experience; Preferred : 3 to 5 years in healthcare related administration and / or law enforcement
License / Certification- Fireman certification, American Heart Association Basic Life Support, CPI Certification
