International Tax Manager needed for a direct hire opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Charlotte, NC

Annual Salary : $150,000+ (Depending on experience
Overview
The position requires someone with a strong technical U.S. international tax background and applying that knowledge to a complex U.
S. multi-national corporation.
Position Summary :
- Review cross-border acquisition and disposition transactions for U.S. tax implications and recommend structuring alternatives.
- Advise on tax efficient methods for repatriating funds.
- Proactively manage the Company’s Subpart F, GILTI, FDII and FTC positions, suggesting planning alternatives to minimize the impact on the Company’s effective tax rate and cash flow as appropriate.
- Maintain previously taxed earnings and profits, tax pools and basis calculations of the Company’s foreign subsidiaries.
- Consult with business unit and / or legal personnel on day-to-day business matters from a U.S. international tax perspective, including review of contracts and financing documents.
- Implement projects and drive them through to a timely, successful conclusion.
- Manage the international tax components of IRS audits.
- Coordinate information gathering related to U.S. international tax return compliance (Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, 8990,08991, 8992, 1118, 1042, FBAR, and others) and year-end tax accounting reporting (unremitted earnings, FTC, etc.
and work with finance and accounting personnel to resolve information reporting issues.
- Part of the team that will implement and oversee Pillar 2 for the Company.
- Responsible for the accuracy and timely completion of international tax compliance and international related year-end tax accounting calculations.
- Assist with managing the Company’s transfer pricing policies.
- Coordinate and liaise with European tax personnel located in London.
- Enhance the profile of the tax department through the provision of tax advice to business units in a timely, accurate and proactive manner.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of extensive U.S. international tax experience with either a large public accounting firm and / or a large MNC.
- Experience with advising a complex corporation on corporate projects and transactions, plus the capacity to interpret technical matters and taxation strategies for non-tax personnel, are a plus.
Successful candidate Characteristics
- Comfortable with lateral and higher contact with staff and senior managers in other corporate departments and with business unit personnel.
- Not afraid to roll up the sleeves while being able to retain big picture thinking.
- Capable of keeping up to date with tax law changes and legislative proposals.
- Willing to get involved in ad hoc planning projects including overseas elements and manage the tax issues associated with those projects either by direct action or through external advisers.
- Desire to work in a flexible team-based environment.
- Ability to juggle concurrent projects and smoothly move from project to project with little advance notice.
- Proficiency with excel or other data management or data mining software tools.
Education
- S or similar degree in accounting required.
- Masters in tax is a plus. (Not Required)
- P.A. is a plus. (Not Required)
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree is a plus (Not required)
