Busser Job Purpose Responsible for maintaining the restaurant's appearance and ensures tables are clean and ready for guests.

Assists servers in ensuring guests' needs are met in a clean and inviting environment

Duties and Responsibilities

• Punctual and maintains a good attendance record
• Removes used and / or unneeded plate ware, silverware, and glassware from tables
• Accurately sorts plate ware, silverware, and glassware in dish area
• Restocks clean plate ware, silverware, and glassware
• Maintains the cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations
• Maintains clean and dry floors
• Stocks and organizes deliveries
• Frequently cleans the restrooms
• Periodically sweep floors, inside and out
• Frequently monitors all trash cans and empties as needed
• Follows proper closing and cleaning procedures
• Maintains a safe working environment
• Is professional while clocked in or on company premises
• Follows all sanitation and safety policies
• Follows company cash handling policies and procedures
• Maintains valid state and local food handlers and alcohol certifications when applicable
• Advises Restaurant Manager / General Manager / Regional Director of any non-routine situations
• Performs other duties as assigned by managers

• Must have a calm and friendly demeanor at all times
• Must be detail-oriented

Physical Requirements

• Must be capable of constant standing / walking, reaching, and turning
• Must be capable of occasional stooping, kneeling, crawling, pushing, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lb., ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
• Must be capable of frequent, continual, or intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine

Verbal and Reasoning Requirements

Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to co-workers and managers. Must be able to engage in a two-way conversation with the customer on the floor.

Must have the ability to read and / or follow verbal instructions and implement the same. Must be capable of applying common sense and understanding to carry out oral and / or written instructions.

Must understand and adhere to service standards.
