Director of Soft Services

Sodexo's Corporate Services Division is seeking a Director of Soft Services to lead the mobilization and delivery of soft services for a newly acquired life sciences site in Grand Island, NY. This leader will oversee the transition and day-to-day management of janitorial, landscaping, pest control, and other soft services to ensure operational excellence and a world-class workplace experience. The Director will drive service quality, compliance, and consistency across all soft service operations, managing both self-performed and contracted teams. Acting as the primary liaison between the client, service partners, and internal leadership, this role requires exceptional organizational, financial, and stakeholder management skills.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the mobilization, integration, and management of all soft services, ensuring seamless service delivery, compliance, and operational readiness.
  • Oversee self-delivered and contracted services including janitorial, landscaping, pest control, waste management, and mailroom operations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring efficient resource allocation, cost control, and financial transparency.
  • Partner with procurement and vendor management teams to identify, select, and align subcontractors to meet client and operational goals.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for all soft services, maintaining strong relationships, ensuring alignment, and driving continuous improvement.

    What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management or a related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing soft services or environmental services within facilities, corporate, or life sciences environments.
  • Proven ability to mobilize, lead, and optimize multi-site or multi-service programs, including vendor and subcontractor oversight.
  • Strong financial acumen and process management skills, with experience managing large operating budgets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client engagement abilities, with a commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement.
