Requirements :
- Experience coaching and mentoring middle school theatre students;
- Experience and comfort working and connecting with a diverse student population including LGBTQIA+ students.
- Experience with all aspects of a theatre production : auditions, casting, blocking, rehearsals, acting work and concentration, costuming, makeup, technical aspects such as lighting and set design, and a working knowledge of theatre terms, expectations, and culture.
- The Assistant Director will participate in a production meeting prior to auditions.
- The Assistant Director will meet with the Director prior to auditions to discuss the Assistant Director’s responsibilities and duties for the show.
- Attend all auditions and discuss casting decisions with the director.
