Tribal Workforce Development Administrative Assistant
The Opportunity
The Tribal Workforce Development Assistant position is located in Denver, CO and reports to the Co-Executive Director of Implementation, but works closely with the Tribal Education and Workforce Manager of the National Tribal Program.
This position is remote and assists the staff in the administrative and daily operations and functions within the Tribal Workforce Development Program and supports implementation of energy access work across Indian Country.
Key Responsibilities Include :
- Assist and support the Workforce Development program and staff on schedules and related travel and meetings. Which includes communicating with external and internal stakeholders as needed.
- Support staff on projects, fundraising, presentations, etc
- Set up multi-participant video conferencing calls and take meeting notes for project-specific meetings and other GRID-related meetings
- Support and provide direct support to the WFD Trainees in coordination with Tribal Construction Team by supporting any documentation, logistics, scheduling, organization, and data entry.
- Provide office management support such as IT support, procurement, policies
- Create and / or improve process for WFD trainees onboarding and offboarding trainees and working with HQ People and Culture and related HR-staff
- Use software systems such as Salesforce, Inspire, Concur, Jive, Paycom and Paycom Manager, ASANA, Adobe, Intact, G-suite, etc.
in order to help track, sign, manage projects, information and documents.
- Provide research support to the Tribal Department in research, develop databases, track and respond to inquiries,
- Communicate regularly with GRID Tribal Program staff, GRID HQ staff, vendors, partner organizations, corporate sponsors, and project participants and fulfill other duties as required to ensure our WFD projects are effective, sustainable, and impactful.

- Travel 1-2 times a year
It would be great if you also had
- Minimum two years of administrative experience, preferably in a non-profit development department or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, or communications or Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior experience working with non-profit organizations
- Experience handling logistics for fundraising events
Where you will sit & the places you may go...
Based in Denver, CO while remote the Tribal WFD Administrative Coordinator will support Tribal WFD Program staff on all aspects grants, operations, fee for service projects.
Travel outside the Denver metro area is also required. GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and / or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use, but applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
This position may require up to 20% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects. Availability to work nights and weekends may rarely be required.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hourly pay commensurate with experience within the pay band ($22-$26 per hour), plus the benefits below.
