About The Position

Job Title : CT Tech

Hours per Shift : 36 hours guaranteed

Experience : 1-2+ years working in an emergency department setting, trauma, stroke, CTAs, and perfusion

License : State Radiologic Technologist License

Certifications : Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARRT(CT) registry

Must-Have Skills / Experience :

Manipulating patient transfer equipment

Continual standing and walking

Recognizing emergency situations

Adapting to a fast-paced workload

Effective communication

Description :

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs CT procedures and patient care that requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for obtaining optimal image quality and exceptional service.

Has responsibility for all aspects of CT imaging procedures requiring a sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology.

Independently selects and modifies technical factors to produce optimum CT scans while keeping patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort as top priorities.

Performs all duties and responsibilities consistent with the organization's mission, vision, and values.

This individual must be capable of manipulating patient transfer equipment and lifting, moving, and transporting patients.

They are required to continually stand and walk and must recognize emergency situations.

The ability to adapt to a fast-paced daily workload and communicate effectively is essential.

Experience working on advanced CT scanners and knowledge of CTA and perfusion is preferred.
