Salary : On-Target-Earning (OTE) includes a starting range of $73,000 - $107,000.

The successful candidate's starting base will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the base range for this role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study.
  • 3-5 years of progressive full cycle Accounting and / or Bookkeeping experience is required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment that utilizes a standard costing system a plus.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and best practices.
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).Ability to use QuickBooks accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.
  • Inquisitive nature, ask questions to increase knowledge and develop better understanding of work performed.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, co-workers, and customers.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in various forms and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment; excellent organizational skills is required.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Performs the full cycle of accounting and financial activities for the company.
  • Ensures proper and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in accordance with GAAP and internal control standards.
  • Maintains accurate financial and statistical records; analyzes and reconciles accounts according to established procedures;

performs research as needed; develops complex spreadsheets, and resolves accounting problems.

  • Responsible for daily reconciliation and reporting of bank balances to the President. Perform normal banking functions and related requirements such as a letter of credit, wire transfers, etc.
  • Performs monthly accounting close cycle and prepares month-end financial statements.
  • Assists with the full accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoices to payment, including coding invoices, obtaining approval, entering invoices into the accounting system for payment.
  • Assists with the full accounts receivable cycle, including posting cash payments, resolving customer discrepancies, and reconciling the GL with the AR Aging Report.
  • Assists the invoicing process, including the creation of new invoices, reviewing, and modifying invoices as needed, maintain the customer database, and reconcile the freight invoices to freight billing.
  • Partners with and support Sales, Productions, and the Operations team in evaluating job profitability and other analyses.
  • Performs contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers, and office lease.
  • Performs state sales and use tax submissions and reporting.
  • Assists with tax preparation and insurance audits.
  • Develops, implements, and documents new policies and procedures to enhance the workflow of the department and the company.
  • Participates in other special projects and analyses as needed.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing networks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
