Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician provides complex technical repairs and preventive maintenance on Bakery equipment including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and computerized systems to minimize downtime.

This role troubleshoots issues, performs repairs, installs new parts, executes equipment overhauls, tests repaired equipment, and maintains records in the computerized maintenance system.

Responsibilities

• Gives priority to and executes on all verbal assignments from production management and maintenance management.
• Completes written work orders as assigned.
• Completes daily tasks from the Facilities checklist.
• Inspects the water boiler daily and is responsible for checking chemical tank, releasing pressure and checking salt levels.

Makes adjustments to boiler as needed.

• Assists the mechanics as needed.
• Conducts daily facility walk-thru inspection, identifying and resolving issues immediately.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of maintenance shop and yard.
• Performs maintenance detail work at Rialto warehouse as needed.
• Performs special projects as assigned.
• Follows rules and regulations to ensure food safety, quality, and legality.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 YR exp. maintenance or equivalent, manufacturing environment preferred
• GMP / HACCP Certificate (in-house), sit- down & stand-up forklift certified, boom / scissor lift certified

Shift : 3rd

Hourly Rate : $24.00 - $26.50
