Responsibilities :

• Consistent withthe ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing careutilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis,planning, intervention and evaluation for assignedpatients.
• Addresses increasingly complexpsychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient andfamilies in accordance with their level ofpractice.
• Using the appropriate protocol,administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effectsand effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and caregiven.
• Assess learning needs and provideseducation to patients, family members and / or care givers; identifyissues and resources.

Experience

1 year of experience in the related nursingspecialty preferred

• BLSrequired
• RN License in state of employment orcompact
• ACLS within 90 days of hire for newgraduates; within 30 days of hire for experiencednurses.
• PALS within 90 days of hire for newgraduates; within 30 days of hire for experiencednurses.
• TNCC within 18 months for new hiresand experienced nurses new to the specialty; within 60 days forexperiences nurses in the specialty.
• TCARwithin 18 months for new hires and experienced nurses new to thespecialty; within 60 days for experiences nurse in thespecialty.
• CPI / De-Escalation within 12 monthsof hire.
