School Social Worker
Location : Palatine, IL
Job Type : Full-Time
Responsibilities :
- Provide individual and group counseling to students.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to address academic and social issues.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive educational environments.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Connect students and families with external resources and community services.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies and state regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Valid Illinois State certification as a School Social Worker.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of child development, mental health, and educational practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
- Commitment to supporting the social and emotional well-being of students.
