Job Summary :

HBK Engineering is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support our expanding land development portfolio. This role involves working on diverse projects, including electric vehicle charging stations, commercial and utility-scale solar projects, battery energy storage sites, and utility-related civil site work.

Salary :

5-7 years of experience : $85,000-$95,000

8-10 years of experience : $95,000-$110,000

10+ years of experience : $100,000-$120,000

Relevant experience may lead to higher compensation.

Responsibilities :

Lead detailed design work for land development projects, including site grading and stormwater facility design.

Independently review calculations and drawings prepared by others.

Ensure project completion on time and within budget.

Coordinate design activities to meet specifications, codes, and client requirements.

Assist in preparing proposals, contracts, and cost estimates.

Coordinate design efforts with sub-consultants and clients.

Prepare clear, concise technical reports and studies.

Travel as needed.

Key Skills :

Experience in construction work package designs, scheduling, and construction services.

Client liaison experience in a support or lead engineering role.

Proficiency in reviewing design drawings.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and / or MicroStation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements :

Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation and Microsoft Office Suite.

7+ years of design experience in land development, specifically underground design work and outdoor utility placement from point A to point B.

Utility experience, particularly in electric vehicle charging or renewable energy.

Experience in construction and surveying.

Qualifications :

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

Professional Engineering License in PA, IL, IA with the ability to obtain reciprocity in other states.
