Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team in DMV area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

The Purchasing Specialist is an experienced professional specializing in procurement and purchasing activities within an organization.

They manage and coordinate the Procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance.

They work closely with other departments to understand their purchasing needs and ensure that the organization receives the best value for its money.

Additionally, they may also be involved in budgeting, inventory management, and implementing purchasing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

The Purchasing Specialist is a senior role with extensive experience in all aspects of the Procurement process. The Purchasing Specialist III supervises and mentors subordinate project and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff.

Basic Qualifications :

High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree

A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.

5 years of position-specific relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with workflow tools such as ServiceNow or Atlasian (Confluence, Jira).

Clearance Requirements :

Must be a US Citizen

Must have an active Top Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements :

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations

For all positions requiring access to technology / software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.
