Position Overview

T. Rowe Price is seeking a Sr Software Engineer who has a passion, vision, and technical acumen to help meet the needs of the Individual Investors Secure Digital Experience business.

You’ll be hands-on coding through the entire development lifecycle as well as leading an Agile team of back-end and front-end developers.

We are transforming client experiences through cloud computing, lightweight Java microservices, single-page application front ends (React / Angular), and highly resilient software services.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of Java microservice development and strong AWS experience. You will :

• Design and develop solutions working with other internal groups such as architecture, dev ops, and enterprise security to ensure alignment with enterprise technology direction and standards.
• Contribute to code reviews and provide feedback.

Business Knowledge

• Experience working directly with business partners.
• Can articulate business needs and translate them into technology solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive Java development.
• Experience with ReactJS or other JavaScript framework helpful.
• Experience mentoring and leading development teams.
• Expertise designing, developing, deploying, and supporting java-based solutions.
• Able to quickly learn new technologies and stay abreast of industry trends.
• Able to work with existing data models and schemas and suggest changes and improvements.
• Experience in AWS cloud technologies.
