Description
The Assistant Men's Basketball Coach is responsible for all phases of developing and maintaining a successful Men's Basketball Program at the College through their support of the Head Basketball Coach. This is a part-time seasonal position.

- Recruitment of potential student-athletes
- Practice preparation
- In and out-of season training
- Game / match day management
- Retention of quality student-athletes
- Ensures the success and safety of student athletes on and off the field
- Monitors team members' academic progress and performance, and makes referrals to the appropriate College departments to enhance student's academic success.
- Assists with all facets of athlete eligibility certification
- Responsible for the safe transportation of team members to and from away contests
- Adheres to all NJCAA, Region 19, RCSJ and Athletic Department rules and regulations
- Responsible for fundraising and development of alumni and community relations
- Possesses the ability to be a team player within the Athletics Department and the College
- Performs duties of the Head Coach in his / her absence.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Past playing and / or coaching experience in the sport of basketball is required.Associate's degree requiredValid driver's license, which is currently in good standingSupplemental Information
