Overview :

We are looking for a Maintenance person with basic mechanical concepts, who is highly motivated, and detail-oriented to join our team as a Maintenance Engineer! This individual performs in various shifts am, pm, as needed.

He performs various basic maintenance trade functions such as preventative maintenance of the resort / hotel. You will be working closely with different team members, so you must be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.

The Maintenance Technician will :

meet service quality standards that affect guest satisfaction;

respond to guest questions or problems in a timely professional manner

perform general repairs and assigned maintenance duties in a satisfactory and timely manner

respond to complaints or problems from guests or other departments in a timely manner

be responsible for maintaining the upkeep, rehabilitation, and maintenance of the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs

Maintains logs on completed tasks via the electronic work order system.

Performs basic general maintenance of pool equipment.

Make repairs to plumbing fixtures, piping, and drains.

Ensures daily pool cleanliness and conducts proper pool maintenance to standards.

To qualify, you must have previous engineering experience.

Qualifications :

Minimum (6) months experience working in the service industry, i.e. hotels, apartment buildings, condominiums, and Hospital environments preferred.

MUST have experience in basic pool maintenance, Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.

Bilingual in communication preferred not required.

Able to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lbs. and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance;

able to push, pull without assistance , and pull up to 200 lbs.

Able to climb ladders up to 30 feet high and reach in all directions, often overhead.

Please be advised, we are a large full-service hotel and as such this position requires extended periods on your feet with frequent long walks around the internal areas of the hotel along with considerable physical activity on a continuous basis, up to and including entire shifts.
