Our client is looking for a CNC Machinist 2nd and 3rd Shifts (Permanent) in the Windsor, CT 06095
Shift Details :
- 2nd Shift : 2 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM
- 3rd Shift : 10 : 00 PM - 6 : 30 AM
Position Overview :
We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our team on 2nd and 3rd shifts. The ideal candidate will be reliable, eager to learn, and capable of thriving in a collaborative environment.
This role is crucial for ensuring smooth operation of our multi-axis machines, optimizing efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate multi-axis CNC machines with precision.
- Control and adjust machine settings, including speed and feeds, to achieve desired results.
- Inspect machined parts using precision measurement tools to ensure accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the shift promptly.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting job requirements and deadlines.
Requirements :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with CNC Mills or CNC Lathes.
- Proficient in operating high-speed machinery and using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Strong understanding of machining procedures and techniques.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations, including consistent use of protective gear.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform job duties efficiently.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in the aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with live tooling machines.
- Proficiency in CAD / CAM programming.
