Job Summary : The Production Scheduler defines which machine and resources are needed when and where to complete the production demands within the shipment deadline.

This position will work closely with the General Manager and the Director of Customer Experience to ensure effective and efficient workflow from the beginning stages of production to outgoing shipments to the customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Plan and organize stages of production to meet the customer requirements and to meet specified shipping dates by utilizing the ERP and Printflow system
  • Schedule production work on various machines
  • Obtain necessary information from Account Managers on incoming job tickets
  • Review and track daily production and make adjustments to the schedule as needed
  • Consult with Shipping / Receiving Supervisor to meet deadlines
  • Coordinate with General Manager and Director of Customer Experience on quality concerns, spoilage and rework
  • Consult with and discuss with the General Manager on equipment, staffing, and workload to determine and communicate overtime needs
  • Recommend to the General Manager the needs to send work outside
  • Ensure transparency and accuracy of ship dates in all active and upcoming job tickets
  • Produce work in progress reports, communicate daily schedule at the morning production meeting and effectively schedule and coordinate competing job deadlines

Requirements :

  • Minimum of Five (5) years of Master Scheduling experience within Manufacturing ERP environment
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with other ERP systems
  • Strong understanding of production workflows and process management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage changing priorities effectively
  • Proficient in writing routine correspondence and reports
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Dependable, ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner
  • Self-motivated yet responsive to direction
