RESPONSIBILITIES

- Directs workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing various kinds of machinery.
- Requisitions and keeps supply of spare parts.
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints and schematics to workers and assigns duties.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Recommends measures to improve productions, equipment and performance.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Determines when machinery should be shut down and repaired.
- Responsible for daily time and attendance tracking and auditing meal and rest break attestation reports and works with HR / Payroll Coordinator to obtain appropriate forms.
- Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- Predictable and Regular attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
- High school education or equivalent. Technical degree accomplishments and / or college level related coursework, preferred.
- Four to ten years’ related experience in manufacturing maintenance setting.
- Three to four years welding experience and basic industrial knowledge required.
- Training and experience are interchangeable on a year for year basis.
- Requires mechanical ability, good reading, writing, mathematical and supervisory skills.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to operate welding machine, electrical meters, grinders, oxygen acetylene, various hand tools and any other equipment required to perform duties
- Predictable and Regular attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

- Standing, walking, sitting, talking / listening, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms.
- Lifting up-to 100 pounds.

- Plant environment with loud noise, moving and vibrating machinery, dusty, dirty, fumes and or airborne particles.
- Works near moving mechanical parts, works in high precarious places, outdoor weather conditions, heat or cold (non-weather) conditions, risk of electrical shock, vibration.
- Wear mandatory and / or other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Compensation : $75,000 - $88,000
