Description

Come build the systems that power one of the cloud computing networks. Behind all the machine learning models and generative AI applications sits a network of servers and a large supply chain that keeps it humming.

Come help us build and automate that supply chain.

The Amazon Infrastructure team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, Senior Product Manager to own defining the business requirements for the next compute, storage, and network rack supply chain automation platform, working closely with our software development teams and business partners.

AWS spends north of $30B in capital each year on its supply chain. With a growing footprint come complex supply chain problem statements and the opportunity for innovative solutions that work at scale.

Build software solutions that plan and execute the movement of computing and storage hardware, data center upgrades, and electrical power recovery.

Our team owns the supply plan for data center power and space in response to customer forecasts. We own initiatives and the software that models and improves the utilization of our power, cooling, and space infrastructure in our data centers so that we are generating capacity at the lowest possible cost.

In this role, you will work closely with HW Asset Life Cycle Management, Data Center Engineering, Data Center Operations, and Supply Chain Automation software development.

You will own the software solution that plans rack retirements and vends those plans to execution systems. You will also own the systems that plan and execute upgrades of DCs from where legacy racks have been retired.

You will identify defects in our business processes and drive new processes and software automation to eliminate the defects and prevent them from recurring without posing risk to availability.

Successful candidates will be analytical with business acumen and detail-driven with excellent problem-solving abilities.

You should also be obsessed with contributing to the development of high-performance teams through rigorous goal-setting, disciplined attention to performance metrics, continuous process improvement, and mentorship.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running.

We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.

You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
