About the Role : Virtus Healthcare Staffing is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiation Therapist on behalf of our partner, a premier Level I Trauma Center located in Houston, TX.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing the highest quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities :
Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment following established protocols.
Monitor and assess patients' responses to treatment, adjusting as necessary in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards to ensure patient and staff safety.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all aspects of care.
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in radiation therapy.
Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Radiation Therapist in a clinical setting.
Certification : Certified Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiation Therapy Technologists (ARRT-T).
Licensure : Must be licensed by the Texas Department of Health (TMB).
Education : Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Therapy Technology.
Strong understanding of radiation safety practices and procedures.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
