Part-Time High School After School Program Coordinator
Position Description :
Reports To : Director of CCS
Requirements :
- Three to five years of educational experience, two of which should be in a supervisory capacity in an educational program
- Knowledge of working with children in age appropriate programming, OST standards, DOH standards and DYCD expectations and guidelines
- Knowledge of development and administration of After School programs and OST databases desired
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Supervision of the After School Programs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Create After School program calendars and communicate calendar to parents, director, and after school staff.
- Convene regular check in meetings with partners.
- Hold weekly staff meetings with all IALHS After School staff
- Serve as a resource to tutors and staff in the identification, selection and use of instructional materials, curriculum and methodologies.
- Monitor and review staff attendance logs and evaluate staff performance in accordance with the after school programs.
- Review and approve staff supply requests needed for the After School Programs; monitor expenses; conduct annual inventory of program materials;
assure fair distribution and rotation of program materials.
Conduct safety inspections of after-school facilities and communicate corrections needed to ensure safety at all times.
Communicate any concerns to the Operations Team.
- Report snack order to Operations Manager
- Manage and distribute snacks to students enrolled in the program
- Review staff time sheets; submit time sheets to the Director and HR for approval for payment with a designated time schedule.
- Ensure coverage for Credit Recovery if staff is out, if the Club Leader is out, communicate to students that club is not occurring;
update hours accordingly.
- Conduct and coordinate regular training for afterschool staff.
- Promote literacy, multiculturalism, STEM and parent and community involvement through appropriate program enhancements and activities.
- Maintain accurate records pertaining to licensing requirements, staff / child health and safety.
- Maintain high attendance throughout all programs.
- Plan and execute events to boost staff and parent engagement in enrichment programming.
- Develop a positive working relationship with staff.
- Perform related duties as assigned by Administration
