About The Position
We are actively seeking Critical Care Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for locum tenens coverage in Pennsylvania. This opportunity is ideal for experienced providers who thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment and are available for night and weekend shifts.
Position Details :
- Specialty : Critical Care NP or PA
- EMR : Epic
- Reason for Coverage : Backfill / Bench provider
- Setting : Open ICU with high-acuity patients
Procedures : Arterial lines, central lines, consults, codes
No intubations at nightVirtual ICU integrated into the 4th floorPatient Volume : 10–17 patients per shiftSupport : Solo coverage at night; ER residents available Sun–Thurs (Nov–June)Shift Times : 6 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM or 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AMRequirements :
NPs : Board Certified with Acute Care CertificationPAs : Board CertifiedCertifications : BLS, ACLS, DEALicensure : PA license preferred; Compact license consideredAdditional Requirement : PA Child Abuse Clearance (fingerprints required)Interested providers should be comfortable working independently at night and experienced with high-acuity critical care patients.
