Sales and Account Management Trainee
This program combines individualized functional / tactical training with a strong focus on developing true leaders capable of succeeding in today competitive environment.
Participants will observe experienced professionals to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for performance of departmental duties.
You will also be assigned a mentor from the SAM (Sales & Account Management) Team.
You will learn to effectively communicate, influence and interact with all types of customers as well as a wide range of colleagues throughout NFI.
The program consists of facilitated on-site and classroom learning designed to introduce participants to key business functions and NFI’s suite of services including :
Distribution : warehouse operations, safety standards, 5S and Lean processes
Transportation : fleet operations, driver relations, NFI truckload and cross border
training, industry laws and policies
Integrated Logistics : brokerage / intermodal / global / Transportation Management
Port Services : drayage & transloading; network overview and service offerings
Key Account Management : job function and best practices
Solutions Design : engineering, facility layout, labor standards
Following the training program you will move into a Sales or Account Management role with the NFI SAM (Sales and Account Management) Team.
Ongoing mentoring will include but not be limited to 3PL Sales prospecting, pricing, contracts, closing deals or Account Management - best practices and tools available to provide best-in-class customer engagement.
Requirements :
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and loads of initiative
Recently completed Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Operations, Marketing or related field
Extra-curricular activities that illustrate team building and competitiveness
Previous employment or internship experience in a related field preferred
Constantly looking for ways to develop and expand your business network
Must be flexible for extensive travel and possible relocation upon completion of the program
Ability to make independent decisions; work well in a team environment, customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and a positive attitude required
Strong problem solving, negotiation skills and the ability to think outside the box
Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests
Must be goal oriented, results driven and assertive
Committed to understanding and complying with departmental policies, processes and best practices
We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $24 -28 / HOUR. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, geographic location, when determining a starting rate of pay.
