Now Hiring : Director of Nursing (DON)

We have a rewarding opportunity for a Director of Nursing who will be instrumental in shaping our nursing operations. In this role, you’ll lead, develop, and oversee nursing services, ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.

We’re looking for someone with strong management, leadership, and communication skills who’s ready to make a difference.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain nursing service policies and procedures to uphold our high standards of care.
  • Oversee forms, reports, and evaluations related to nursing operations.
  • Participate in facility surveys conducted by authorized government agencies.
  • Collaborate in coordinating patient services through departmental and staff committee meetings (e.g., infection control, patient care policies, quality control).
  • Work with administration on staff competence, focusing on enhancing supervisory skills and promoting a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Assist in planning and budgeting for nursing services.
  • Review nursing requirements for new admissions and assist attending physicians in care planning.
  • Ensure all nursing personnel maintain valid and current licensure.
  • Conduct daily rounds to oversee patient care.
  • Coordinate nursing services with other patient services to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Be available after hours to address any issues that arise within the nursing department.
  • Manage staffing, training, supervision, discipline, and scheduling for the nursing team.

Qualifications :

  • Current / valid Registered Nurse licensure (RN) in Wisconsin.
  • Experience in long-term care.
  • Proven nurse management experience.
  • Previous experience as a Director of Nursing.
