Our client, a global fortune 500 company, has created a NEW ROLE of Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer. In this position, you'll be a strategic subject matter expert on Rotating Equipment Reliability.
This opportunity will be required to travel to manufacturing facilities throughout North and South America for approximately 25% of the time.
Candidates will be able to work from home when not traveling. with occasional meetings or business needs at one of the. US plants.
- For that reasons, candidates must be located within drivable distance to any of the following locations : the Houston, TX area - (Deer Park, TX and Bayport, TX);
- Northern Ohio - (Avon Lake, OH and Wickliffe, OH); Louisville and Calvert City in Kentucky, Gastonia, North Carolina and Spartanburg, South Carolina, Franklin, WI;
Wilmington, MA; Clifton, NJ (near NYC) and Piscataway, NJ; Loveland, CO; Victor, MT; Midland, MI and Corona, CA and Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.
Relocation assistance is available. This function develops and assists with implementation of Electrical Reliability standards work at selected sites throughout the Corporation.
The typical schedule is 7a - 4p or 5p Monday - Friday; however, some calls with international locations will occur outside of these core hours.
Responsibilities :
- Demonstrates expertise through hands-on experience with reliability modeling and prediction methods
- Assists with implementation and improvements of Mechanical Integrity standards in the Americas focusing on rotating equipment such as pumps, agitators, blowers, HVAC systems, etc.
- Performs assessments of resource requirements; FMEA's
- Determines PM strategy throughout the organization to ensure most cost effective and efficient priorities and schedules
- Collaborates with other site organizations and engineering disciplines to ensure new and modified installations meet reliability and maintainability expectations
- Studies OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) data; uses statistical methods to help prioritize and target equipment bad actors
- Offers guidance on adherence to availability, maintainability, and reliability standards for equipment in maintenance, turnaround, and capital projects
- Strategically define, design, develop, monitor, and maintain an annual and three-year reliability plan in a professional and systematic manner
- Contributes input to a Risk Management Plan, anticipating both reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation
- Provides technical support to production, maintenance, and technical personnel, ensuring smooth operations
- Devises solutions to repetitive failures and other problems that adversely affect plant operations
- Identifies long-term opportunities for improvement focusing on equipment reliability
- Trains and mentors facility site staff on mechanical reliability best practices
Required Qualifications :
- 5 years of Equipment Reliability in fast-paced, large manufacturing organizations
- Prefer experience in plastics, papermill operations or personal care production
- Considered an expert in RCA’s, FMEA’s and PM Reviews
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% in the Americas
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, engineering technology or related fields
- This role does not have any direct reports, but will require leadership skills to mentor site technicians and engineers throughout the Americas

- Salary range is $140,000 - $150,000 plus up to a 15% performance based bonus
