The Dynamics 365 Administrator at a CAT dealer is a pivotal role responsible for managing and optimizing the D365 platform to support dealership operations. This role ensures the smooth implementation, maintenance, and performance of the platform, which is critical for enhancing digital presence and customer engagement.
Key Initial Responsibilities
- LCS Project Setup and Management (20%) – Create and manage the Lifecycle Services (LCS) project, define methodologies, set up phases, and track tasks. Monitor progress and update milestones to keep the implementation on schedule.
- User Access and Permissions Management (10%) – Invite team members to the LCS project, assign appropriate security roles, manage permissions, and customize roles based on organization design.
- Environment Management (30%) – Deploy and manage development, testing, and production environments using LCS, ensuring proper configuration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Issue Tracking and Resolution (25%) – Utilize LCS tools to identify, track, and resolve implementation issues. Collaborate with the team to find workarounds or solutions, preventing delays and ensuring smooth project execution.
- Collaboration with Partner, Satellite and Microsoft Teams (15%) – Work closely with XAPT and Microsoft teams to ensure the platform is set up correctly and issues are resolved promptly, ensuring the platform is available and performant to support the dealership's specific business processes.

Change Management (25%) – Empower adoption and manage change requests, assess impact, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain clear communication.Testing and Quality Assurance (30%) – Develop test plans, execute regression and performance testing, coordinate technical acceptance testing, and manage code updates and integrations.Managing Interfaces and Bolt-On Solutions (20%) – Oversee integration of interfaces and bolt-on solutions, ensuring compatibility, testing, and resolving issues.Collaboration and Coordination (20%) – Collaborate with key business partners, coordinate with internal teams, and provide technical support.Skills and Experience Desired
