Neuro ICU RN Job Details

Location : Reno, Nevada 89502 (Nevada nursing jobs)

Unit : Neuro ICU (Roseview ICU – 18 beds, Beacon Designated)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : November 2, 2025

End Date : January 31, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 3x12 hour nights (18 : 45 – 07 : 15)

Hours per Week : 36

Holiday Requirements : Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays during the assignment (Eve + Day = 1 holiday)

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1880 - $2020

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Nevada RN license (required prior to start)

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required for ICU nursing jobs)

Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience

Experience caring for Neuro Trauma and post Neuro-surgery patients

Preferred : Experience with post Alteplase, post Thrombectomy, and external ventricular drains

Ability to float to other critical care units within competency as needed

Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and pick up additional shifts as required

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the Neuro ICU

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for patients with complex neurological and medical conditions

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Care for patients with ischemic / hemorrhagic stroke, neurologic tumors, seizures, and general medical ICU conditions (DKA, sepsis, respiratory issues)

Utilize advanced technologies and evidence-based practices in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Participate in ongoing professional development and uphold standards of clinical excellence
