Position Summary :
The Electronic Repair Technician would be responsible for troubleshooting, testing, repairing linear and switching mode power supplies to component level used in medical equipment to component level.
Contribute to technical operations and processes that enable our organization to meet the needs of our customers.
Essential Duties :
- Electronics repair and finishing of moderately complex RF electronics parts
- Soldering of small components
- Identifying components
- Mechanical disassembly and reassembly of electronic parts
- Cleaning the parts completely
- Following strict ISO guidelines
Education / Experience :
Required :
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred :
- AA degree or higher in Electronics required or Military equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields
- Electronic Technician certification or comparable certification
- Experience with JTAG would be beneficial
Competencies :
- Strong electronics and technical troubleshooting knowledge
- Well-organized with good follow through
- Works well with all levels of management, clients, end users and vendors
- Knowledge of analog, digital and power electronics
- Ability to learn maintenance and repair procedures with or without documentation
- Good manual dexterity and basic mechanical aptitude
- Quality through hole and surface mount soldering
- Experience in the use of bench test equipment : multimeters, power supplies, LC meters and Digital Oscilloscopes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently or with a team to achieve assigned goals
- Pays attention to details to assure that the customer is completely satisfied
- Able to function with minimal / no documentation of subassemblies
- Excellent computer skills
