We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to add to our dynamic team. What You’ll Do :

• Builds, manages and implements data pipeline capabilities including data modeling, process design and overall data pipeline architecture and all phases of ETL processes.
• Leads efforts related to partially to completely automate repeatable data preparation and integration tasks.
• Partner with technology teams to understand data capture and testing needs, and to build and test end-end solutions.
• Support and understand data APIs to support on-going and greenfield product initiatives
• Implement automated data quality checks and monitoring
• Architect BI solutions and model the semantic layer for report consumption.
• Data modeling and data governance concepts of dimensional modeling, data lake.
• Modern data warehousing methodologies and distributed cloud computing like Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Redshift, MySQL, Snowflake
• Provide solutions using SQL, Unix, Python scripting
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver complex features across systems
• Contribute to the overall system design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability, and performance of applications
• Stay ahead of new technologies with an eye to evaluating / incorporating them into your team's architecture
• Design test the cases and ensure code changes are thoroughly tested and work with the test management teams as required
• Lead junior resources on the team and ability to guide them through road blocks
• Mentor junior resources and provide technical guidance
• Negotiate technical solutions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Manage projects and provide and update project plans and status to key stakeholders as required
• Support production and ON-CALL activities

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, bachelor's degree in a STEM field, or equivalent self-study of computer science
• 5+ years of application development experience
• 2+ years of experience in cloud computing
• 5+ years of SQL, Unix and / or Python scripting
• 5+ years of working with RDBMS solutions
• 2+ years of experience using ELT tools such as DBT, Matillion, Talend
• Solid understanding and application of computer science fundamentals : data structures, algorithms and design patterns
• Preferred experience with building and maintaining data lineage across multiple enterprise platforms.
• Familiar with Data Models and able to architect data marts for reporting and processing purposes
• Well versed with data modeling and data governance concepts of dimensional modeling, data lake.
• Well versed with building modern data warehousing methodologies and distributed cloud computing like Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Redshift, MySQL, Snowflake
• Experience with common engineering tools such as GIT, JIRA or similar
• Experience in working in a DEV-OPS framework
• Experience with distributed RDBMS computing like Redshift, Snowflake, MySQL etc.
• Experience with AWS services Redshift, MySQL, SQS, SNS, S3 is a MUST
• Experience with Hadoop Eco System and Spark is preferred
• Experience working with large data sets and building systems that process large volumes of data
• Experience with reporting and business intelligence implementations is a MUST
• Proficient in providing solutions using SQL, Unix, Python scripting
• Ability to document technical designs and specifications
• Ability to negotiate technical solutions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage projects and provide and update project plans and status to key stakeholders as required
• Experience in supporting production and ON-CALL activities
• Experience leading junior resources on the team and ability to guide them through road blocks
• Demonstrated willingness to both teach others and learn new technologies
• Excellent communication skills
