The Women’s and Children’s Float RN Staff Nurse at Salem Health is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, quality healthcare with a family centered care approach to patients by stabilizing the family unit through safety and security.
This nurse has a knowledge of growth and development and pathophysiology specific to infants, children and postpartum to assess, plan, teach, intervene, and evaluate appropriately.
The WCS float nurse is skilled in procedures and use of equipment specifically designed for this patient population.

Background / Expertise :
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science degree or non-nursing Bachelor’s Degree with MSN for Salem Health applicants.
- Current and unrestricted Oregon RN license.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience required.
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
- NRP required.
- PALS within twelve (12) months of hire required.
