JOB MISSION :

Contribute to the New Balance culture and business strategy through program management of DEI initiatives across the associate lifecycle in North America.

Enable high performance and associate growth through the design, development and implementation of DEI practices, experiences and programs.

Act as a subject matter expert on DEI best practices and trends. Manage successful execution of assigned initiatives across businesses, geographies and disciplines in a way that is high-impact, relevant, and meaningful.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Provide input to diversity, equity and inclusion strategies.
  • Assess needs and make recommendations and plans in support of the DEI NA strategy.
  • Design, develop, implement and influence learning and development curriculum and other initiatives or programs that support advancement of our DEI North America plan and overall DEI strategy.

Conduct train-the-trainer sessions and facilitate workshops.

  • Research, develop and embed tools, models, and frameworks across the associate lifecycle and experience to help strengthen inclusivity and belonging.
  • Create and manage project plans and partner with the business and HR team members to ensure desired outcomes are met.
  • Track and measure program effectiveness, including writing reports and presentations. Activate and continuously improve DEI initiatives and programs.
  • Assess the landscape of vendors and present vendor overviews in support of DEI planning efforts. Manage vendor contracting process for DEI programs
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and collaborator on DEI topics. Maintain knowledge of current research, trends, policies, regulations and best practices.
  • Partner with regional DEI teams to integrate work and share best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison to various partners including Talent Acquisition, Total Reward, Internal communications and regional HR leads on initiatives to drive systemic change.

Requirements For Success

  • 7-10years experience in DEI, talent management, organization development or related human resources function
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in human resources or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced skills and experience with internal consulting, facilitation, and design of learning and organization development programs and solutions.
  • Stays current with trends, research and best practices in diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Proven project management capabilities including experience handling multiple key projects at a time
  • Highly influential, engaging and persuasive in communications. Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Ability to connect to associate experience at all levels and select relevant, meaningful and exciting initiatives.
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Ability to think strategically in a complex, ambiguous environment
  • Highly collaborative with an ability to work across multiple organization levels, geographies and partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and demonstrate a sense of urgency
  • Experience with Workday LMS, e-learning and blended learning technologies a plus
  • Some overnight travel up to 10-15% may be required. Occasional day travel near corporate office location.

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations.

To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced Work from Anywhere (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
