Major / Essential Functions
- Qualify, manage, and build meaningful relationships with potential donors to the Red Steagall Institute for Traditional Western Arts whose philanthropic interests align with the National Ranching Heritage Center's and University's strategic vision.
- Collaborate closely with the NRHC team and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategic fundraising initiatives that align with the campaign's goals.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with high-level donors, ensuring ongoing engagement and investment in the RSI and NRHC mission and capital campaign.
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including identifying, researching, and soliciting prospective major donors.
- Adhere to procedures and best practices regarding documenting donor interactions, annual giving, donor engagement and stewardship, member relations, events, and gift processing.
- Oversee the planning and execution of donor events, meetings, and other activities designed to engage and recognize major gift donors.
- Monitor and report on fundraising progress, regularly updating the Executive Director, campaign leadership, and the Ranching Heritage Association board of directors.
- Proactively manage the RSI and NRHC fundraising budgets to ensure effective stewardship of those funds into impactful meetings, events, materials, presentations and travel.
- Lead and manage all major gift fundraising efforts, with a focus on securing seven-figure and higher contributions to support the National Ranching Heritage Center and the capital campaign for the Red Steagall Institute.
- Work with the NRHC team to create compelling fundraising materials and presentations that effectively communicate the vision and impact of the Red Steagall Institute and the NRHC at Texas Tech.
