Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is currently looking for a Test Engineer Total Vehicle Evaluation for our Commercial Vehicle Development team in Southern California :

Responsibilities :
- Perform subjective and objective vehicle evaluations, identify potential customer complaint issues, investigate problem root causes, and recommend potential countermeasures.
- Plan and execute Test Drives of prototype and pilot commercial vehicles.
- Organize and execute benchmarking activities on competitive vehicles.
- Interface regularly with Hyundai affiliates in North America.
- Summarize technical market trends and customer value of Hyundai vehicles.
- Work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Create and present technical reports and presentations for management reviews.
- Plan, monitor and manage department budget OR assist in planning and monitoring of department budget.
Required Skills :
- Valid light duty Driver's License. Commercial driver's license desired.
- Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; MS Internet Explorer; MS Project.
- Ability to travel domestically (15%) & internationally (5%).

Compensation :
$70,000-$100,000.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Physics.
- 2 years of experience and general understanding of human factors and ergonomics concepts.
- Good understanding of vehicle dynamics, NVH, braking, and electrified powertrain systems (BET, FCET).
- Experience in medium duty & heavy-duty truck programs development.
- Experience coordinating technical work between international organizations and working in culturally diverse team environment is a plus.
