Location : Greater Pittsburgh Area (Warrendale, PA) -Hybrid

What You'll Do :

Team Supervision & Performance Management

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the AP team to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Assign tasks based on workload and skill level, ensuring balanced distribution and accountability. Manage time off requests to meet workload demands.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment through coaching and performance feedback.
  • Provide input and recommendations to AP Manager on hire / fire decisions and annual performance management process.

Invoice & Payment Processing Oversight

  • Follow a structured workflow with appropriate documentation and audit trails.
  • Validate invoice coding and payment timing using ERP systems.
  • Maintain segregation of duties and escalate anomalies promptly.
  • May perform hands-on invoice and payment processing duties on a limited basis if needed to support the team.

    • Compliance, Controls & Month-End Support

  • Perform regular audits of AP transactions.
  • Collaborate with Finance to reconcile AP subledger and prepare any necessary entries.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements. Maintain documents for SOX or internal audit reviews.

    • Vendor Relationship Management & Issue Resolution

  • Respond to inquiries within defined SLA timelines (e.g., 24-48 hours).
  • Investigate root causes of discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Document resolutions and communicate clearly with vendors and internal stakeholders.

    • Training, Development & Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy as the AP function becomes centralized across the organization.
  • Encourage feedback and track improvements.

    • What You'll Need :

  • High School Diploma required, Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting; supervisory / team led experience helpful.
