The Piedmont Northside Med Surg unit iscomposed of a 55-bed small (more) controlled environment where ourclinicians work closely with our interdisciplinary team to providepatient-centered care.
We provide direct care to patients sufferingfrom different levels of acuity. The Med Surg unit comprises ofmultiple skill levels with the support of hospitalists, experiencedcharge nurses and energetic nurse managers that create and maintaina family / supportive feel to the workspace.

RESPONSIBLE FOR :
The staff nurse provides nursing care topatients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursingprocesses to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care forpatients.
He / she functions within the framework of the policies andprocedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growthand accountability.
The staff nurse is responsible for maintainingstandards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of allassigned staff in the provision of quality nursingcare.
Qualifications :
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED :
Graduate of a nursingprogram.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED :
New Graduates of a nursing programeligible
MINIMUMLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW :
CurrentLicense in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC / eNLCMultistate License.
BLS certificationrequired.
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS :
For PRN positions : One year ofnursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
Bachelors degree preferred
Advancedcertification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
